My Review : Vampire Academy

I was just read these amazing books authored by Richelle Mead titled Vampire Academy.

It's so awesome. How Rose fight for ones who she is loved the most. For her best friend Lissa. And for the one she is involved with... Belikov...

Their Love was so amazing.

It's began with suspicious meeting when Rose running away from the Academy for Lisa's safety. Dimitri was being assignment to take them back to Academy. Vasilissa Dragomir is a royal vampire, the only one live in the Dragomir Blood's Line. And she had a very unique one power among pure vampire, called Moroi, named Spirit. It's usually the power of four element of earth all the vampire had, earth, air, water, and fire. Spirit is mostly rare and almost being forgotten among them. No one really understand about Spirit. But one that they know well, most all spirit users were getting crazy because that power is consumed their soul. The darkness of it's users never easy to handle.

So they were Lissa who was Spirit user and Rose who was shadow kiss. Shadow kiss means that Rose already dead, but Lissa bring her to life. That was the fact. Rose once died in the care accident but using Lissa's power, Rose was saved.

In the beginning of the story line, Lissa was very tortured because of the spirit power. She even being kidnapped by her uncle, Victor Daskov who was she believed the most. Victor wanted to use her power to heal his illness. Even Moroi could have a disease. But as expected Rose and Dimitri came to rescue. After they managed to beat Victor Charm -which made them being attracted to each other. Victor knew well there's something between Rose and Dimitri and he took advantage of it. It's almost worked.

And then the next book, Frostbite, some Strigoi attack had happened to one family near the Academy. Due to that issued the students sent to some Ski Vacation in Idaho. But three of student escaped from that safety placed arranged by the schools side. They intended to fight Strigoi. Rose knew this. So, she and accompanied by Christian went for a rescue. But that wasn't a fine rescue. One of her friend, actually the boy who was really crushed in her, Mason died. That was a shocked for her. As i remember that's the beginning Mia, the one who always being enemy at school, used her water power to fight the strigoi back. And since then Mia trained her self to defense and offense from the dark creature, Strigoi.

There was, Shadow Kiss, the third book. Rose was starting to see the boy who was once really loved her, Mason. Yeah. The dead Mason. His ghost. Rose intensely saw him around. Dimitri think she was still in shocked but he really didnt believe the fact that Rose really could see ghosts. The ghosts appeared around her outside the magic line out of Academy. It's getting worst when she ride an airplanes. Ghosts kept coming more and more until she gave up to the darkness and fainted away. When she understood why Mason kept approaching her it was too late. Some group of Strigoi came to attacked the Academy when Rose in Dimitri inside a little house in the forest, doing something, when the nausea came to warned her. Dimitri told Rose to tell the others guardians ready for the battle when he alone fighting the Strigoi inside the forest, slowing up their moves. That was a real big battle. She and Christian were doing some alliance to killed as many strigoi as they could. Extremely awesome when Christian used his fire to burn the Strigoi when Rose staked them behind him. That was a good cooperation, remembering they never had a good relation before. The battle ended with no happy ending. The strigoi did leave the school, with some hostages of moroi and dhampir. Rose was coming up with rescuing mission. The plan was to find their hidden, attack when the sun still rises, safe the hostages and return safety. Mason told Rose the hidden place when she asked him. So they all went, but not all returned. Dimitri was taken.

Why? Why when all the things finally began between them, Dimitri must be taken away from her?

Rose could not accept that. She had decided to go and killed the one she loved the most. She then dropped out of the school without anybody knows in the early morning to find him. To killed Dimitri who was turned to a devil. But could she do that? Killing strigoi didn't mean anything to her. But killing Dimitri's strigoi? It meant everything.

Well, come the next book Blood Promise. I have that one. Rose, with Adrian's help -another guy who crushed in her- arrived in Russia to find Dimitri. She met his families and lived with them for a while. Knowing what kind of environment Dimitri had grown was really something for Rose. His family often told her about little Dimitri, what he used like to do or what he was like when he was a kid. They even showed Rose the pictures of Dimitri. They got a long well then until his grandmother arranged a meeting for Rose and another Spirit user beside Lissa and Adrian, Oksana. And, yeah, because the molnija she had -tattoo which claimed that she has killed normous Strigoi- some hunting-the-strigoi-group asked her if she wanted to come with them to Novosibisk for a hunting. There they got a Strigoi whom then released by Rose to delivered her message toward Dimitri.

Not for so long finally they really met. Dimitri took Rose to a house which far from the city. When she woke up she find the guy who was once her beloved instructor has turned to one of the devil. His dark eyes became deadly red, his skin completely pale, and there was something in his face that really didn't match the real Dimitri Rose knew well. Although he seemed like the usual Dimitri, reading an old book, the way he talk, the way he looked at Rose. And more importantly, the way he did something. How could i kill this man?

Dimitri in a bit surprise when he knew that Rose came searching him. And apparently Dimitri had became a strong strigoi here. He and his x-teacher were cooperated to organize some strigoi groups, like a Mafia (What a man had you find, Rose). Dimitri asked her to joined him to be awaken. But Rose refused as she wanted Dimitri returned to her as a dhampir like it used to be. Rose even helped Dimitri killed his teacher but then Rose realized that wasn't Dimitri. The man she loved had already dead. And that was exactly what Rose was going to do with his body. She finally staked him in his chest, toward the heart. Before he fell in to the river.

Rose decided coming back to school when she found out that Lissa's new friend, Avery, was a spirit user too. And she was trying to make Lissa shadow kissed. It meant she wanted Lissa being dead in order to bring her back to life to be her servant. But through Oksana's power Rose could communicated with Lissa and help her defensed her self through the bond. When Lissa had saved Rose promise her she would be there to protect Lissa with her own hand. And thanks to Abe's large connection -a man called Zmay who was very suspicious she met in Rusia- Rose could manage to get to school in a short time. She found her mother at school to tell her that Abe, or Ibrahim, was Rose's biological Father all along. What? I am Zmay's daughter? It was a shocked for her. But there's was another shocked. Dimitri's Love-dead-threaten-letter.

And then coming the fifth book, Spirit Bound. The story began when Rose kept getting Love-dead-threaten-letter from Dimitri every week which told Rose that he was still alive and aiming to be meeting again as soon as Rose out of the boundaries of school. This time he supposed to killed Rose himself. After she graduated with some awesome result of the trial, she went to the Royal Court with Lissa. Lissa was aiming to go to Lehigh after graduated, thanks to Queen Tatiana, the one who yelled at Rose the last time they met.

On the previous book Rose found out the one who could help her to bring back Dimitri from Oksana. Even though she was not sure about what she told Rose could happen. Oksana told Rose that there's a man who have healed a strigoi, in other word, he could turn a strigoi back to it's original form. But there's one big problem. No one knew where that man was, no one but Victor, because Robert Daskov was Victor's half brother. So they were they going. Breaking some security high jail to free some dangerous criminal which has tortured Lissa. Together, Rose, Lissa, Edie -guardian classmate friend of rose- and Victor went to Las Vegas to meet Robert. And Dimitri. Rose should have known that Dimitri as the leader of undead creature who has human spying everywhere could easily find her outside the court. There was a chance to killed him, but Rose couldn't take it. They escaped from Dimitri and his undead subordinate.

After sometime Dimitri came again, in front of Lissa and Christian. He and some strigoi kidnapped them to lure Rose. Rose came with around 40 guardians as her back up. She found Lissa and fight Dimitri one-to-one battle. But in the end, thanks to Christian fire (again) Lissa could stake him through his heart (with the strength she got). She staked him with unusual silver stake. It was a special stake charmed by five element include spirit. After that Dimitri Strigoi dead, a dhampir awaken.

And finally this last book, Last Sacrifice. After Lissa has successfully bringing Dimitri back to his original form, Rose thought that it would be okay for them now. But she was totally wrong. She has no idea what Dimitri had become after turned back to a dhampir. Really full of regret and will to atonement his sins. He refused meeting Rose which made her really in torn. What? Why he refuse to meet me? He should show gratitude to me after what i have done to made it all happen. Why Lissa? Not me?

But then another thing occurred. Queen Tatiana has been murdered and Rose was being accused as the murderer. Rose managed to escaped from her detention with Dimitri. Together with the Alchemist the run in some secret mission to find Lissa's sister, Jill Mastrano. Rose knew all this top secret thing after she got a letter from Tatiana.

In other side, Lissa was running in her own mission, being a queen.

When they found out the truth they didn't want to believe that the culprit behind all of these crazy things was Tasha, Christian's aunt. When the guardian tried to captured her, she took her gun and shoot the one moroi closed to her, Lissa. Rose didn't have to read Lissa mind to find out where she was trying to move. Rose stepped forward as fast as she could to block the bullet. She felt her chest burning as the bullet shoot. I never think i would be dead by a gun after i took so many hand's fight... where is Dimitri? And then she looked at Dimitri... with all the love she had.

Fortunately Rose didn't died. She survived after a long emergency treatment. Lissa became a queen when she woke up. Adrian had a broken heart when she tell him that she couldn't love him. She managed to became one of Lissa's guardian without the bond. And Dimitri? Well, he assigned to became Christian guardian. What is that? Rose grimaced.

After a long hard journey they have had... They finally could live their life together. It's a sweet ending when Rose leaned against Dimitri chest while watching Lissa got her crown. "And what will happen next?" asked Dimitri. "I know it will be good things." said Rose.

Okay... those are i remember after reading such a wonderful book!! Can not believe me? Try it your self. Jaa ne~
